Our Cottages
We offer peace and tranquility in a beautiful nature setting. There are only 3 cottages on the farm that sleep 16 in total. All our cottages are tastefully furnished, and equipped with all that is needed for a holiday breakaway in the bush – and a mere 2,5 hr drive from Gauteng

Firefly is a spacious free standing wooden cottage within 40m of the Groot Marico River. It can accommodate 4 guests (with the possibility of a further 2 children under the age of 12 yrs but then parents need to provide their own mattresses and bedding). The main bedroom is private with a double bed and en suite bathroom (shower only) and there is a wall mounted fan. The second bedroom is private and has 2 single beds and a wall mounted fan. There is a separate 2nd bathroom (shower only). The spacious open plan area has a fully equipped kitchen, dining and sitting room that leads onto a very large undercover patio. There are glass stack doors from the sitting room area onto the patio that allows for wonderful natural light to flow in. The patio area has an outdoor dining room table, wicker chairs and is mountain facing with a 180 degree view of nature. There is a splash pool, weber braai, gas skottel braai and a potjie pot. The cottage is solar generated and has a gas geyser, gas stove with oven and gas kettle. There is an electric fridge/freezer and a portable oscillating fan. No hairdryers/irons/microwaves/toasters allowed due to its inverter capacity.

Le Butterfly is a newly built, private, spacious and comfortable cottage (125 sq m). It has a lovely mountain view and is within 200m of the Groot Marico River that runs through the farm. It can accommodate 6 guests. The main bedroom is a private bedroom, with a wall mounted oscillating fan, Queen bed and en-suite bathroom with shower. The second bedroom is also private and has a wall mounted oscillating fan, 2 single beds and en-suite bathroom with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with a regular sized fridge/freezer; microwave; toaster; kettle; 4 plate gas stove with oven; crockery; utensils; potjie pot; and portable gas skottel braai. The open plan area has a portable oscillating fan; indoor fireplace; radio with cd/usb function; sitting and dining room with 2 single beds. This area has 2 large glass sliding doors that leads onto the patio, garden and private natural rock splash pool. There is an undercover braai with a patio garden set; outdoor shower (stoute stort) with hot and cold water and a large firepit for those stargazing and bonfire evenings. There is a private walkway down to the river.
