doggies

Well socialised and trained dogs (no cats) are welcome at a duration stay cost of R200,00 per dog in the cottages and R100,00 per dog at the camp site. Visitors need to bring beds, bedding, bowls, leashes for dogs. Dogs are not allowed on any of the cottage furniture. If this happens, an additional laundry fee will be requested. Dogs are not allowed to be left unattended in the cottages or camp site and owners of dogs need to ensure that their dogs are not a nuisance to other guests. When making a reservation, please confirm number of dogs, size and breed. Consideration must be given to our 2 resident dogs (male and female ridgeback/boerboel cross but well socialised and “neutered/spayed”).

  • Star Gazer and Le Butterfly are wheelchair/walker friendly owing to the spaciousness and comfort of these units

  • Each cottage has portable/wall mounted oscillating fans

  • Each cottage has its own private splash pool

  • There is limited cellphone coverage on the farm

  • There is a potjie pot and portable gas skottel braai in each cottage

  • There is a radio with a cd/usb combination

  • All our units are self-catering
  • Please always enquire about the condition of our dirt roads

  • Our units are strictly non smoking

  • Dogs are allowed but please check our terms and conditions

  • Please ensure that you read our terms and conditions when making a reservation

  • We sell firewood, ice, and a few basics but please request this in advance

  • Although we have no game on the farm, there is an abundance of game to be spotted when walking/hiking in our area

  • There is lots to do in and around Groot Marico.  We will gladly share this information with you at your request

  • Our borehole water is simply awesome so no need to bring bottled water with
